+ Provides HIV/AIDS/STD prevention services, testing and counseling, and behavioral interventions

+ Helps to identifies specific setting or venues in which high-risk members of the target population can be accessed.

+ Coordinates outreach activities and special community events related to the program under the direction of the Lead Testing Specialist or Program Manager.

+ Ensures that all necessary reports and documentation are collected and submitted to the appropriate entities in a timely and efficient manner as defined by agency policies

+ Attends trainings, conferences, and meetings, as requested by program manager and department director

+ Performs HIV and STD testing without adverse events: ensures all laboratory forms are correctly completely and accurate results and provided to all patients Ensures quality standards for testing and counseling are maintained through completion of appropriate documentation and complies with all CQI/CLIA standards.

+ Assists clients with scheduling follow-up appointments with medical providers and make referrals to programs as appropriate


This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

Education and/or Experience:

Currently enrolled in a 4-year college/university with a major in Public Health, Community Health, or related field.

Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
